Day 5: Know Thyself
Watching & Working On the Weak Areas
Pornography can cause major issues in a person’s life impacting valued relationships, work, hobbies, and spirituality. But stopping isn’t as simple as just turning off your phone or computer. We’re not only wired to enjoy what we see, but there is the possibility to become dependent on it as a counterfeit source of connection and stress relief. So, how do we begin the process of creating a lasting change? This course gives an overview of the recovery and repentance process reviewing key principles necessary for overcoming a compulsive need to look at pornography.
Have you been trying to overcome a porn addiction for years without lasting success? This class is designed to help you see recovery differently and thus begin making strides toward a porn-free life. The topics are designed to help individuals gain a birds-eye view of what recovery entails and give them encouragement toward the right direction.
Overview of topics:
- The Blessing Called Recovery: Recognizing how to see change as a stepping stone instead of a stumbling block.
- Aligning Your Aim: Not looking at porn is only one part of a true recovery. What’s the bigger vision of who you want to become?
- The “All-In” Recovery: Are you willing to do whatever it takes to have lasting change? If you’re not, what will it take to get there?
